The Institute
A practitioner school with one subject and one standard, based in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Why we exist
Non-formal adult education is a market of short formats: weekend certificates, forty-hour courses, slide decks. Long, assessed, tutor-led programmes exist only in higher education, over years and with academic rather than practitioner content. The corner that combines the structure and assessment depth of serious study with the practical orientation of a short course is empty. We built the school that sits in that corner.
Our name is our method. Resilience here is not a buzzword — it is the trained capacity to turn pressure into structure. Ex pressura fortitudo — from pressure, strength.
Who teaches you
Practitioners by policy
Our method tutors practise what they teach and are recruited for their family of methods wherever in the world they are. They teach online and come to Kaunas for the residencies.
Led academically
Principal and Academic Lead Vaida Borunovienė owns the curriculum, assessment standards and tutor development — one person accountable for quality, by name.
Advised clinically
A clinical adviser validates the boundary and referral module and the examination rubric. They do not teach; they make sure the line is where it should be.
Faculty are named on this site only once their agreements are signed. Until then we show roles and methods, not names — the same rule we apply to partners.
Our honesty policy, in writing
The certificate is a non-formal practitioner qualification certified by the Baltic Institute of Resilience — we never describe it as anything more. The programme is online with two one-week residencies — we never market it as a mobility product. We state the evidence position of every method we teach, including where it is weaker. And no partner or faculty member is named without a signed agreement. These are not disclaimers; they are the reason the rest of our claims can be trusted.
